Hola! My name is Clarissa Negrete and I am 22 years old. Originally from San Antonio, Texas. I attended the University of Notre Dame. I majored in Finance with a minor in Peace Studies. I will be working in Culucanas, Peru. South America has held a special place in my heart especially after participating in a study abroad program my junior year of college. In the five month period I spent in Santiago, Chile I came to learn the beauty of the culture, and could not wait to return. I am excited to continue serving the people in Peru, and I know I will gain so much from these people who have so little. There will be challenges and sacrifices made, but I am confident it will only increase my knowledge and strengthen me as a person in so many ways.
