I am Katie Abajian and I grew up in the Crestline, California. I am 24 years old, and I graduated from the University of California, Riverside in 2007 with bachelor's degree in Psychology/Law & Society and Spanish. I have just completed a year of service in the Bronx, New York serving at St. Rita Immigration Center. I will be volunteering again, this time in Chulucanas, Peru. I am excited to find out what my role will be once I am there. I look forward to living in a community setting for a second year and the opportunity to work with the Peruvian people, learn more about Latin America, eat delicious Peruvian food, and grow in my spirituality.
