LOCATION
Beverly neighborhood of Chicago
OVERVIEW/DESCRIPTION
The South Side of Chicago, particularly the neighborhood of Beverly in which we live, is extremely welcoming and tight-knit. Our house is just a walk or a quick drive away from our parish, St. John Fisher, a number of grocery stores, the Metra train station, a Chicago public library, as well as St. Xavier University where we are lucky enough to be able to use the fitness center. We have many people surrounding us who act as a great support system- knowing a large number of our neighbors, even attending a block party in the beginning of the year, has made the transition into a new city that much easier and enjoyable. Without a doubt, the AV Chicago location is exceptional!

HISTORY
The Chicago site was established in 2003. The Volunteers have served at St. Rita High School and St. Margaret School since the origin of the Volunteers in Chicago. Over the years, the sites have expanded and now include St. John Fisher School and the Jadonal Ford Center, which is a Catholic Charities program. The Volunteers have lived in the same house since the site opened in 2003.
