How did you find your love for volunteering?
The people that I love most in my life approach human interaction with a spirit of giving; it's how they connect to other people and it's how I connect to them. My best relationships were formed with that mentality and I'd like to continue to act on that sentiment.
Favorite Artist
I can't choose just one; I can get into almost any music, especially folk music.
Most interesting book you've read
The Bible. Also the Harry Potter Series (I can read them again and again and they never get old).
Issue you're most passionate about
Non-violence; I think that no matter what problems arise, if they are approached with a spirit of non-violence, then a solution comes more naturally and the issue dissipates more quickly.
If you could be any fruit, what would you be and why?
Some kind of fruit - that way I could be outside in nature, hanging on a tree for most of my life.
What are you most excited about in the new city you will be living in?
I am excited for everything: to live with a Peruvian family and with my AV community, to experience a new country and a new culture, to do work that I haven't ever done before, to be in the warm weather, to eat a lot of mangoes, and to open myself up to whatever the next year will bring.
